You will need for this crochet tread pattern:
Crochet tread #10 in Ivory and Chocolate
Crochet hook size 1.5mm to 2.0 mm
Satin ribbon 3/8 in (.8 cm) wide - 40 in (92 cm)
Optionally: 7 wooden beads 2 1/2 in (6.5 cm) in diameter or stuffing (can be cotton balls).
Needle with an eye big enough for the tread

Note:
SC 2 (the # of stitches is AFTER the stitch's abbreviation) means: make two single crochet stitches in two stitches of the previous row.
2SC (the # of stitches is BEFORE the stitch's abbreviation) means: make two single crochet stitches in one stitch (increase).

You can use wooden bead as a base, or any other bead the same size with a wide enough hole, or just stuff your crocheted bead with cotton ball or any other kind of stuffing. The ribbon you will use to assemble the crochet beads necklace.

Row #10: Brown tread: decrease every second stitch in the row: it should be 6 stitches after completing of this row.
Row #11: brown tread: make slip stitches around the row, tie and cut off both treads (the ivory and the brown one).

NOTE: HOW TO CROCHET A BEAD IN SOLID COLOR:
It is easier then striped bead:
CH 1, join in a ring with a slip stitch
Row #1: SC 6 in the ring, total = 6 stitches
Row #2: 2Sc in each stitch, total = 12 stitches
Row #3: [SC, 2SC] repeat [ ] 6 times around the row, total = 18 stitches
Rows ## 4-8: SC in each stitch around the row for 5 rows. total = 18 stitches in each row (unchanged).
Row #9: [SC, dec SC]. Repeat [ ] 6 times around the row decreasing the total # of stitches to 12.
Row #10: decrease every second stitch in the row: it should be 6 stitches after completing of this row.
Row #11: slip stitches around the row, cut off the tread, secure and weave in the end.
(You will need 4 solid color beads: 2 - in Ivory, 2 - in Chocolate brown.)

Row #7: decrease every second stitch around the row, (make a SC in every 2 stitches of the previous row). Total will be 4 or 5 stitches at the end of this row.
Row #9: make slip stitches around the row, cut off the tread, secure the knot and weave in the end.
