Wool/Tapestry Needle

8ply Yarn Of Your Choice
Instructions:
Band:
Continue to make single crochets till you get to the end of the row, then make 2 chain stitches and go back into the second last crochet stitch you did. When crocheting into the stitches, go through the front loop only, this will create a sort of ribbed band.
Continue making single crochets, row after row. And so, once the strip measures about 22” (56 cm), I Sewed the short ends together to form a band. I have a small-average sized head, but if you have a larger head you can make this band a bit longer by crocheting a few more rows of single crochets.
Make a slip knot and push your crochet hook through the first single crochet exactly where you have sewn together the band.
Chain up one, then crochet single crochets all around the band. Join with a slip stitch to the chain one. Chain 2 up., Then you can start having some fun crocheting Puff Stitches! Note: I made my puff stitches with seven strands on the crochet hook before pulling through it with my hook. The more strands you wrap around your hook, the thicker the puff stitch.
Crochet a puff stitch, chain two, skip one stitch, then crochet into the following space between the previous stitches. Keep repeating this in the following rows.
After making 20 rows it's time to Seam It Up. You can make as many rows as you want, the more you make, the longer the beanie!
So that's how I made my first ever slouchy beanie!
I hope you all enjoyed it, and that it will help each and everyone of you on your journey to making absolutely amazing beanies!... They make great gifts, and are so much fun to make!
