Crochet Christmas tree potholder Pattern

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn Small Ball Green, Small Amounts of
Red, Yellow and colours


For the bows.
Crochet Hook Size 8/H or 5.00 mm

Chain 23, sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, skip first sc, 1 sc in each sc to last sc, sl st in last sc, ch 1,
turn.

Row 3: Skip first sc, sc in each sc to last sc, ch 3 at end of row, turn.

Row 4: Sc in 2nd sc from hook and in each sc to last sc, ch 3, turn.

Row 5: Sc in 2nd sc from hook and in each sc to end, ch 1, turn.

Row 6: Skip 1st sc, sc in each sc to end, ch 1, turn.

Row 7: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each sc to end, sl st in last sc, ch
1, turn.

Row 8: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each sc to last sc, sl st in last
sc, ch 1, turn.

Row 9: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each sc to end, ch 3, turn.

Row 10: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each sc to end, ch 3, turn.

Row 11: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each sc to end, ch 1, turn.

Row 12: Skip 1st sc, sc in each sc to end, sl st in last sc, turn.

Row 13: Sl st in 2nd sc, sc in each sc to end, sl st in last sc, turn.

Row 14: Sl st in 1st sc, sc in each sc to end, sl st in last sc, turn.

Row 15: Sc in each sc to end, ch 3, turn.

Row 16: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each sc to end, ch 3, turn.

Row 17: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each sc to end, turn.

Row 18: Ch 1, sl st in 2nd sc and in each sc to end, turn.

Row 19: Sl st in 2nd sc and in each sc to last sc, sl st in last sc, turn.

Row 20, 21 & 22: Sl st in 1st sc and in each sc to last, sl st in last, turn.
Break yarn after 22nd row.

Finishing Tree: With right sides together join green in bottom right
corner and sc across to bottom left corner, then break yarn.
Sew back and front together about ½" from edge leaving the edges
uneven.

Star: With yellow, ch 3.
Row 1: 5 sc in ring, sl st in first sc to join.

Row 2: (Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sl st in next sc)
5 times (makes 5 points on the star). Sew to the top of the tree.

Decorations:
With red ch 100. Tack chain on tree as seen in pic. Using various odds
and ends of yarn tie bows randomly to red chain.

Hanger: With red chain 20 and sew to back of tree for hanging.
